Many students at Barstow love expressing themselves through fashion. As the seasons change and weather gets colder, students begin to dress differently. Whether it’s shoes or sweaters, fall fashion is always changing.

“An important part of any fall outfit is shoes,” Leila Block says. “My favorite shoes are Adidas or Aciscs.”

Students at Barstow love when their shoes match their outfit. Caroline Fink says, “My favorite shoe trend is probably mini Uggs or Adidas Gazelles.” She believes, “They go with almost any fall outfits.”

Many students say that they love Uggs because they are warm and comfy. “I just feel like they look really cozy for fall,” says Fink. Students also like Adidas sambas and campuses. This is because they have recently gone viral. “I wear my navy blue Spezials almost every day,” says Block.

Another student favorite this fall are comfy sweaters. Fink says, “My favorite Fall fashion trend is like long sleeve sweaters that are knit or just long sleeve or off the shoulder sweaters in general.” She loves the look of them along with the sweaters being warm and cozy.

“I really like cream or light colored sweaters this fall,” says Isabella Choi. “I also like my striped sweater because it is comfortable and cute.”

Charlotte Eperjesy also likes to wear sweaters in the fall. “They look very nice with any fall outfit,” she says. “I also like that sweaters can be casual or more dressy.”

If someone is walking around Barstow they are sure to see many students with festive fall blankets. Students especially love blankets with patterns for the fall. Blankets provide comfort and warmth in class without the need of carrying around a jacket. Choi says, “I like that cute blankets are popular because they keep me warm in class.” Other students like Clara George also have festive blankets.

One piece of clothing that is very popular in fall is sweatpants. “I wear sweatpants almost every day,” says Block. Sweatpants are comfortable while also being easy and cute to pair with an outfit. Gray and black sweatpants are popular among students because they go with almost anything. “In the fall I typically dress warmer, and wear sweatpants or jeans,” says Fink.

There are also many fall activities and trends students are excited to participate in. “I’m excited to watch scary movies with my friends,” says Block.

Choi is looking forward to Halloween. She says, “I am excited to dress up and hang out with my friends this fall.” When fall comes around, it also means that Spirit Halloween is coming. Fink says, “I am excited to go to Spirit Halloween.”

Now that the weather is cold, students change the way they dress. Even though there are many popular trends, students should always dress how they like. Fall fashion is a good way to express yourself through clothing.
