It’s finally time to get ready for the MS Halloween Costume Party!
The middle school is a buzz with spooky season. One of the biggest events (with so much at stake) is the middle school costume contest. The contest will be decided at the Halloween party, which will also involve a movie and snacks!
“I think people should attend the Halloween party. It will be a chance for people to interact with others they don’t normally interact with,” says Sebatian Johnson, a seventh-grade student. Johnson is going to attend the Halloween party and compete in the contest as Deadpool. Hopefully his friend Gabriel Rodriguez will be Wolverine.
Johnson may have some stiff competition. Eden Groebl and Jenna Mozayen are planning on competing in the Halloween costume contest, and their confidence is very high. They are going as a friend group, and they will all dress up as rat princesses with crowns and tutus.
The prize for the winner of the contest is a mystery. Johnson predicts the prizes for the top three contestants will be Raffety raffle tickets and candy. Mozayen thinks that the prize for the top three people’s costumes will be an ice cream day in the cafeteria.
Regardless of the outcome of the contest, Groebl emphasized that everyone should attend the party, “Come to the Halloween party, you literally get free food.”
While specifics haven’t been given about what food will be available, Johnson predicts pizza and soda. Groebl thinks the food will be Dr. Pepper, cookies, and pizza. Mozayen is also hoping for Dr. Pepper along with pumpkin pie.
Snacks are the perfect complement to a seasonal spooky movie. Johnson’s hoping for Haunted House while Groebl is hoping the movie is Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the sequel to the Halloween classic Beetlejuice. Mozayen is hoping for Hocus Pocus, another Halloween classic.
This Halloween party is going to be a wonderful spooky experience no matter what movies and food are provided. You can expect the flying ghost and the goblins and ghouls. The scary costumes that make you get shivers all around. I hope anyone that comes to this year’s Halloween party has a spook-tastic time.
