Change isn’t as scary when it’s fabulous.
The Middle School Administration Office has recently received an interesting makeover. Ms. Debra Raffety, the Director of Middle School, split her current office into two sections.
The first section consists of the reception area, where Ms. Munsch, the new administrative assistant will help middle schoolers’ when Ms. Raffety is busy, take care of attendance, find substitute teachers, and assist when Ms. Raffety’s schedule is full.
This will improve access to availability for assistance that middle school teachers need throughout the day, “Then, I can sometimes close my door and have meetings, but people can still get help,” she says.
“She’s an incredible boss,” Ms. Munsch says. She also works for the Advancement Department for Barstow Fundraising in the afternoon, and she enjoys the flexibility between these two different roles.
The second section consists of the director’s office, where Ms. Raffety can hold meetings and resolve problems.
“A day in the office changes from day to day,” she says. She works with people inside and outside her office, checks up on classrooms, and updates students on upcoming events. Thanks to this new partition, Ms. Raffety can continue to help students with added efficiency and speed.
