Seventh grade student Evelyn Benson has a lot of fun traditions and activities that she does during fall.
Evelyn Benson is a seventh-grade student, devoted horse rider, and a person who adores her family. She also likes to go on long peaceful walks with her mom and is extremely passionate and adventurous in anything that she does.
“My favorite fall activity is costume classes at horse shows,” says Evelyn Benson ‘30.
A tradition that Evelyn has during fall time is eating carrot cake every fall. She thinks that it is a very toothsome dessert with its creamy cheese, and fresh carrot flakes that she spreads onto it.
“I love carrot cake. I think that the carrot cake is really yummy with cream cheese and little carrot flakes,” she says.
Evelyn’s favorite part about fall is the weather because she really likes to wear cute clothing during that time. Weather has a lot to do with Evelyn’s love towards fall. She likes the cool breeze and warm wind that blows while walking outside. Evelyn Benson usually goes on lengthy walks with her mother on their long walking path.
“I like fall weather because it’s just cold enough that you can wear cute sweaters and clothing, but it’s not cold enough that it freezes you to death,” Evelyn says.
Unfortunately, Evelyn does not get to go see her aunt very often because she is busy working as a nurse. This makes fall all the more special because she gets to visit her aunt. She travels from Kansas to Seattle to visit her aunt every fall time.
Another fall tradition that Evleyn has is going to her grandpa’s girlfriend’s daughter’s house for trick or treating. There she passes out candy to people in the neighborhood with her aunt.
Musty leaves are Evelyn’s favorite fall scent. She really likes the smells of fall because she is a horse rider, and has to smell all of the scents around her from the outdoors.
“I really like the musty fall scent of leaves in September,” she explains.
Evelyn is a person with a recognizable personality. She is a very daring horse rider and kind human being who loves her family. We are so lucky to have such amazing people in our community.
