Chinese students from all grades come together for the annual lantern festival. Each student creates their very own by drawing a 4 character idiom onto their lantern in celebration of the lunar new year. The student adds their own decorations and designs to the bottom and makes a red tag with their Chinese and English names on it which dangles from the bottom of the lantern when they are strung up in the hallways.
