Barstow’s Upper School Varsity and Junior Varsity volleyball team had its second game of the season at Holden High School, in Holden, Missouri. The Knights traveled roughly an hour away on Thursday, September 1, to play the team.

The JV game started at 5:00 pm and they lost both matches, but only by four or five points each time. Mahek Vora (‘25) believes “it went much better than the first game.” Although the JV team lost both sets, they maintained a positive attitude to support their varsity teammates.

Despite the overall loss, Team Captain Anna Shapoval (‘23) said, “I think we improved a lot from the first game, and I think we will improve greatly for our next game.”

Following the match, volleyball Head Coach, Chloe Foster, said, “I think we were better than last game in terms of positivity.” She also added, “We have some things to work on, but we’re a young team so we’ll get there.”
