While the boys soccer game was cancelled due to extreme heat conditions, Barstow students still showed their school pride by dressing in their best sportswear. The theme, jersey day, was selected by pep club, meant to be the theme for the student section at the home opener. As sad as it was to see the soccer game postponed, students were excited to display their favorite teams on their backs. Hits included senior Liane Bdair’s (’24) authentic 2011-2012 Lionel Messi Barcelona jersey, as well as French teacher, Madame Hyvrard’s Olivier Giroud jersey from France’s 2018 World Cup win.
