On March 30, Barstow’s baseball team faced KC Lutheran in their fourth game of the season and third game at home. Barstow dominated the game, with a final score of 15-1. Standout players were William Keidel ‘24, who scored a homerun, and Captain Solomon Holmes ‘23, who scored a double.

“I think the most important factor that came with our victory today was the fact that we all played together as one, and no one was a ‘me’ player,” Holmes ‘23 said. “People were willing to put the team first instead of themselves.”

The team also learned a lot from this game and will apply successful tactics and techniques in future games.

“Down the road, [we’re going to] continue to be aggressive on First Pitch and steal a lot of bases and continue to play together,” explained Holmes. “I’m looking forward to the next couple games down. The road is just to compete against really good teams and play with my team.”

The team’s next game is against St. Michael the Archangel on Monday, April 3 at the Hidden Valley Sports Complex. This week, they’ll also face St. Michael the Archangel on Tuesday, Center on Thursday, and Cameron on Friday. The Knights are off to a great start, so come out and support them at any games you can!
