A recap of the lower school Halloween parade.
To kick off a night full of tricks and treats, the Barstow community gathered in the afternoon for one of its favorite traditions, the lower school Halloween parade!
Students in preschool through fifth grade showed off their costumes to middle and upper school students and faculty as they paraded with their classmates from the lobby through the varsity gym. As they walked by, upperclassmen handed the lower schoolers bags stuffed with candy. High school volunteers also put up spooky decorations in the hallways to ensure the stage was set before their arrival.
Many upperclassmen and faculty members dressed up on Halloween, too, and wowed lower school students with their holiday spirit. Some teachers, like kindergarten’s Mrs. Kimberly Vasquez and Mrs. Christina Kieffer, coordinated costumes. Many upper school teachers showed up with matching Skittles shirts, too.
High-fives were given to an array of fantastic costumes, from witches and Ghostfaces to Bluey and Disney princesses. After they finished their trip through upper school, they got to take their sweet treats back to their classrooms where their parents waited to celebrate Halloween with fun activities
The best part about the day, barring the trick-or-treating after school, was continuing a tradition that would last years to come. See the photos below for a recap of the parade!
